Coming in 2026
After 25 years of work, director Anders Refn is now completing his epic World War II trilogy about the Skov family and Denmark's dark war years. "De forbandede år 3 - Fredens PRIS" is being filmed largely in Skåne, in co-production with Film i Skåne. The film is expected to premiere in early 2026.
In "De forbandede år 3 - Fredens PRIS", Refn tackles a rarely depicted chapter in Danish history – the settlement of guilt and responsibility after the end of the war. Together with the lead actor Jesper Christensen, he is behind the film's script, and the ambition is clear: to conclude the trilogy with the same emotional power and historical sharpness that made the previous films such box office hits.
The year is 1947. Denmark is once again a free country, but the nation is divided. The Skov family faces its greatest trial yet. Karl Skov, played by Jesper Christensen, is put on trial for his actions during the war. His wife Eva, played by Bodil Jørgensen, has left him, and resistance fighter Aksel watches with growing concern as the dream of a new Denmark threatens to wither away. At the same time, siblings Valdemar, Helene and Britta unite around a common vision that can provide hope in a time of uncertainty.
